Oddly enough, "Turkey Lurkey Time" has nothing to do with the show's plot or in exploring a single emotion of the characters.

The choreography in this number lacks all of the energy and zaniness of the original.
This number should have been a show-stopper, but it was a complete disappointment.

I mean, conveniently thinking the opposite of popular opinion on subjects we all seem to agree about.
I enjoyed this revival more than most but that Turkey choreography was awful.
I seriously doubt he even sees these shows now.

I saw it last night for the 2nd time! And I loved that choreography. I did not compare it to the original, because I wasn't alive when it played on Broadway, so I can't say I've seen it.
But the energy live at the theatre was fabulous! I don't have to agree with anyone, I say what I want to. I'm not going to censor myself because of what some bitchy queens might say to me on a website. It's good to be different! And to think different!

As others have said in this thread, muscle23ftl is just starting this thread to cause controversy. Everyone knows that the original Michael Bennett choreography of "Turkey Lurkey Time" is far superior to the current Rob Ashford choreography and to suggest otherwise is just asinine.
I still love the song, but it's unfortunate that this 2010 "Turkey Lurkey Time" wasn't the showstopper it could have been. No one will ever replace the brilliance of Donna McKechnie.
