I noticed none of the press releases mention ticket prices which would be nice, so we would have time to mortgage our first born :)

I got to see him step on stage in an unannounced cameo at the first pre-Broadway preview of The Producers in Chicago; 2/1/01.
Glorious.

Wasn't too hard to get into Ticketmaster to look at tickets -- the bottom price tier is $119, $135 with fees. Unfortunately a number I can't swing right now. They give you a disclaimer that prices may fluctuate due to high demand, so not sure how long those tickets are gonna stay $119.

Do you know if they will offer RUSH tickets? Did they for Pure Yanni? Thanks.

No rush tickets as far as I know; these Lunt shows aren't run by a theatrical team running a Broadway show and each one is treated differently.
For the record, Yanni was on TDF but it's unlikely you'll find discount Mel Brooks tickets.

Anyone see this last night? How was it? Slim chance, but did Mel Brooks stage door?

I don't know for sure whether he did or not, but the theatre is selling signed window cards a friend told me- not sure of the price.

I was at the show last night! Lots of fun. It was unscripted, but you could tell he was really on his game. Told lots of funny stories and worked the audience really well. The show was only about 75 mintes, but it was a great evening!
He did NOT stage door last night. He came out and went straight to his car - he did a little wave to the fans once he reached his car, but he didn’t sign anything or interact with anyone.

this is the same show he has been doing for the last 3-4 years, exact same stories and planeted audience questions

Not totally surprised to hear this. While they did label the show as "unscripted," and I'm sure parts of it were (some moments were very obviously off the cuff) it was clear that the majority of these were stories he had told many times before. I wouldn't have guessed that it was THAT pre-planned, but it's not shocking to hear.
I don't really see that as a bad thing though. To be honest I was a little nervous when I read that it was unscripted because he's coming up on 93 years old, and it's not always fun watching someone try to be funny onstage without prepared material. So it was nice to see him confidently tell his best stories, knowing all the best rhythms and punch lines to tell them with. I probably wouldn't want to see the show twice, but seeing it once with the material new to me was great.
Curious about the planted audience questions though - are you sure? What were some of the questions asked when you saw the show?
