Well "Blazing Saddles" is almost there. I get the feeling that if I could find the time to write three or four more songs, it could be a bold and crazy musical.

I am SO wary of a Blazing Saddles musical. It's one of my favorite movies, I just don't see it translating...I would love to be proven wrong.
The idea of a new Brooks film, however, now THAT I am ready for.
I got the sense from the article that he was more "dabbling" in these projects than working full out on them. Writing more songs if he could find the time doesn't sound like it is top of his list right now. I wouldn't expect to see anything any time soon.
I'm with Willep.
And yes....it doesn't sound like anytime soon.

eeehhh...paid too much for Young Frankenstein and was horribly disappointed. Not eager or interested in Blazing Saddles even more so because I like the movie less than Young Frankenstein!
But wouldn't the auditions be fun?
"Now can we hear you fart? Remember, we need to hear it clearly in the balcony."
I wonder how Roger Bart will be incorporated into this one?
^ Waco Kid.
Nathan Lane is having his sphincter tuned, as we speak.
I was pretty sure that after YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN he said he was done with Broadway adaptations of his films. I'm actually disappointed that he isn't sticking to those guns.
P.S. I loved PRODUCERS and YOUNG FRANK as musicals!
Yay. Another musical using the same songs as his last two shows used. Hopefully they'll use the same choreography, as well.
