I am excited and scared at the same time. I love Melissa Gilbert - but a Little House on the Prairie musical? Sounds pretty risky to me. Can she even sing? I am sure it is mostly for the marketing aspect of the production.
I guess they had Patrick Swayze at one point https://www.broadwayworld.com/viewcolumn.cfm?colid=16701 , but I figure he had to back out due to his recent medical condition? https://uk.reuters.com/article/peopleNews/idUKN2729081520080528

1. That article is from over a year ago.
2. It was for a workshop, 2 performance gig.
3. Workshop casts are not committed in any way to keep on with the show.
4. Unless you find anything more current: I would suggest it might be dead in the water.
And I would suggest you click on footlight's bottom link, the one that says "Gilbert, Blanchard, Lindsay, Gambatese, Ford and Massey to Star in Guthrie's Prairie" which takes you to a Playbill.com news story, dated yesterday, about Melissa Gilbert starring in the Guthrie world premiere production this summer.
yes, I suppose I should have. I didn't notice the 3rd link.
Yes, and usually one apologizes when they have been rude to someone for no apparent reason.
More exciting: I may actually get to see it. Plus Jenn Gambatese will be in it. After TARZAN, maybe I'll actually get to see her in a good play . . .

...from the mouths of bobby's...brilliant! I find an extreme amount of rudeness around here, which perhaps is misdirected irony or jest...(?)
