I think this could be okay if Cerveris has the right direction. I like him alright, but I think he is sometimes, well, plain. I did not love him in Assassins as much as everyone else did.

Andddd the article all but confirms that LuPone will be in the show. So it's just a hair away from being official. I can't wait!

I love him and am glad for he, however, and I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but isn't he like 15 or so years younger than Patti? True make-up works wonders, and Sweeney Todd may be younger than Mrs. Lovett, that's kinda the impression I got from Angela Lansbury and Len Cariou......

Enhh. I'm not too sure If I'm thrilled with all the buzz about this production. I'm fine with Cerveris, although he seems a bit young. I enjoyed alot of Patti's Lovett in the concert version, but I was really hoping for someone new to the role, as I'm probably only going to be able to hear the possible cast recording. I'm also having a hard time imagining Sweeney without an Orchestra or Chorus.
