Did you hear? The family has made arrangements. Since he was 99% plastic, they're just going to melt him down and make Legos out of him. That way the KIDS can play with HIM for a change.

re: Michael Jackson O2 Spectacular Delayed

Earlier on this thread I said the O2 gig would not happen, Mama agreed with me, but both of us would neither of thought this would be the reason.

I have my alibi sorted, have you got yours Mama?

re: Michael Jackson O2 Spectacular Delayed

I kept meaning to lay money on these shows not even beginning. Damn it.

I have to say I'm really curious to see the planned production designs, though.

PS What a sad shambles of a life and what a waste.

re: Michael Jackson O2 Spectacular Delayed

I have no sympathy, nothing what so ever, about the news.
I just hope those 3 children will now be able to live a real normal life.
He was pure evil.

re: Michael Jackson O2 Spectacular Delayed

Im sorry BUT....

I dont understand how someone can have no sympathy, even if you hated him he had kids, and you could tell he cared for them kids and was very protective of them, and on top of that, hes the only parent they know, there going to be devestated.

He was a bit of as loon, someone who people couldnt understand.

I think we are to quick to condem him for things that were never proved, now im not saying he didnt do it, im just saying that it was never proved. Jacko could be innocent, he could be the victim of greedy kids parents and a vile press, lets be honest it wouldnt be the 1st time.

I hate tastless jokes when someone dies, but if people wanna laugh at someones death then thats fine, and if they wanna make jokes about Jackos skin for example then whatever, but when there all kiddie jokes i think its a bit much.

Love him or hate him (im not a fan but have grown up with his music) he was a huge icon who people my age grew up with (along with Madonna), its a sad day when anyones brother, son, father etc dies, but when its someone who has had such an impact its even sadder.

Yes he was a tortured soul, he was a bit of a mess and he was surrounded by people who did not have his best intrests at heart, but i just wish that he could be shown a little respect for a few days and people could praise what he achieved rather than look at the negative

As i said, we dont know if he did 'THAT' but if he did he will pay for it now, but if he didnt, let him rest in peace

It seems easy for people to think he did do it because of his lifestyle etc, the way he looked, the fact that he was a big kid himself. Though when someone is accused of messing with a minor like say James Barbour, well he still gets to go on with the show, and have people on here praise him...

Just my opinion, dont get mad with me lol
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

re: Michael Jackson O2 Spectacular Delayed

Ironically nothing is black and white about this man. I think it stretches credulity that a man who lived as a child, wrapped himself in fantasy and admitted he felt odd around ordinary people would have an entirely conventional bland "straight" personal life- I just can't believe it. There might be any number of causes for this, but the "normal, happy family man" just does not ring true with the rest of his life.

As with the plastic surgery, if he was just a bit more honest about it, I expect people would have had less curiosity.

re: Michael Jackson O2 Spectacular Delayed

Sure, he may well have been the kiddie fiddler on the roof. I personally don't think he was, I just reckon he was completely misguided and a bit insane. His music, his creativity and mindblowing achievements cannot be argued with... what he leaves behind will never be matched.

Oh, and his girlfriend has just released a statement: "I can't believe it. First my parents leave me in Portugal, now my boyfriend's dead."

re: Michael Jackson O2 Spectacular Delayed

Personal life and perhaps the last decade aside. He was a genius of a musician and redifined the popular form of pop and music today, introducing the music video and bringing in motown to the more commonly known pop music and indeed R'N'B - something all music stars have to thank him for.

My belief is MJ was a troubled man and that is no excuse for the odd behaviour he conducted with children but the saddness about it is he never had help, help even convicted persons have.

That should all be put to rest now (the familys accused certainly are at rest with there millions of dollars pay off they were happy to take)

Jokes aside, which are funny, the man deserves respect for his music that will live on and be remembered far much more than most, if any, recording artisits.

Radio 2 are currently having a phone in about refunds-some saying it's 'tasteless' to ask for one others saying that they aren't going to get the product they paid for so should be refunded.
Thoughts? I'm in the latter camp if I paid for theatre tickets and the show was cancelled I'd expect a refund (or some sort of exchange)

re: Michael Jackson O2 Spectacular Delayed

Tasteless is whats been said on this board.

Expecting a refund for a cancelled concert (regardless of reason) is not. However people should be patient and not expect a refund within a matter of days of him dieing.

re: Michael Jackson O2 Spectacular Delayed

Seriously? People are saying that expecting a refund is tasteless? That's mad. Of course people should be refunded, the concerts aren't going to happen, it doesn't matter the reason why - if you've paid for something and you don't recieve it, you should be given a refund. I'm sad he's dead, but if I had tickets I'd still expect my money back. Its nothing to do with him being dead, it's all to do with not recieving what you've paid for.

There's taste and politeness, then there's madness.

re: Michael Jackson O2 Spectacular Delayed

If i had ticket for one of his cancelled concerts I certainly wouldnt be asking for a refund.
In just a matter of months that ticket will be worth thousands!

re: Michael Jackson O2 Spectacular Delayed

Funny enough that came up on the phone in not long after I posted-I didn't think of that!

re: Michael Jackson O2 Spectacular Delayed

Well, I'm one of those people who bought tickets. I bought them online, which means that I don't have the physical tickets (since they were to be mailed to me a couple weeks before the show). I don't find it tasteless that I want a refund. It'll help recoup some of the money that I've spent on a flight and accommodations to London that can't be cancelled. If anything, wanting to profit from Michael Jackson's death and sell the physical ticket for thousands would be.
