Think about Evita, Chicago, and Phantom. Each of them had very long journeys to the screen, they had many directors and stars attached over the years before they finally came to be.

Will this thread be bumped again in two years with everyone saying "Is this coming out soon?" or "Look who's being cast." This project has never had a green light and as of now the only light it has is most assuredly red.

I honestly don't see any real reason why Price (age wise) couldn't still play the role.

It would make for a pretty creepy "American Dream"

"Just Jared" does not know what a tea-length dress is.

Annoying declaration.

He should be assigned to Google jail for six months until he learns to look things up rather than making idiotic declarations about fashion.

Ok, so if this ever gets off the ground [perhaps with the success(?) of Les Mis], what about that Jessica Sanchez as Kim? She's the right age and if she wins Idol, could have some recognition factor.

I hope it becomes a movie because I am dying to see Miss Saigon! And I would love it if Charice got the role but I don't care I just want to see it!

If this happens now, Ken Jeong WILL play The Engineer- I'm calling it now.

He's the perfect fit if he sings even a little- no Asian actor in recent pop culture memory has managed the level of both high camp, sleaze and menace all at the same time as he does in just about every episode of Community. Plus, to the world outside of the cult TV program, he's still well known as "the Asian guy from the Hangover series."
