While maybe not a mistake -
Matthew says "year" instead of "season" in "Where did we Go Right?" on The Producers album. (in the line "Christmas came early to Broadway...")
On the Recording Of DVD he says something to the people in the booth about how he always says "season" in the show, but the woman just tells him to go ahead with what's written.

uncageg, it does sound like lights, but if you hold a well-announciated t for a long time, it comes out as an "s."

At the end of I'll cover you reprise if you turn your stereo up REALLY loud in the last second u hear giggling and what i think is a phone ring. I only noticed bcause i was playing the music obscenely loud. I'm not kidding you, you have to turn it up to the MAX on a good stereo system.
"I have always love you" really annoys me. And it does sound like Nornert says "dance till it lights."

In "I wanna be a Producer" on the Producers album, at the part where the girls whistle the tune of "he wan't to be a producer.." one of the girls starts to say "He..." and then starts whistling. Maybe it's just me, but I'm pretty sure it's there.

This isn't a cast recording or a mistake but it does have to do with hearing things that aren't meant to be there.
When I was little I really liked that one hit wonder kinda Disney channel band B*Witched. And there's this one song and during this part with all these people shouting and making Irish type sounds, I swear I hear someone call my name just like my mother. She splits it up into two syllables like,
"Qui-inn". Everytime I listened to it I would get up and ask my mom what she wanted. It freaks me out!

Again in The Producers - during Along Came Bialy, in the lines "So romantic, they were frantic, then their prayers were heard up above" you can hear two Nathan Lanes singing at the same time. More proof that there's a robot/clone of him.
Not a mistake, per se, but does anyone else notice in The Last Five Years cast recording, during "Climbing Uphill", that faint ringing sound in the background when Cathy sings, "I will not be the girl in the sensible shoes..."? Doesn't bother me, but I notice it every time.

The very first time I listened to the "Phantom" OLCR, during the introduction to "Music of the Night," the same thing happened to me. Mind you, it was also 12.30 at night. But, right after the Phantom sings "For one purpose, and one alone," I swear, I heard someone (sounding like my mother) yelling, "Laura!" Freaky.

that has happend to me...back in the days of britney spears i used to blast "stronger", and i swear i could hear my mom yelling my name in the song everytime.
OK, now I am honestly afraid: Everytime I listen to Run Freedom Run from Urinetown, I think I hear my mother calling me!
On the new LSOH recording, I swear Hunter Foster sings, "We'll have tomorrows" during the Don't Feed the Plants. Also, you can always hear him sucking in air through his teeth. It drives my friend crazy.
Another RENT one: during I'll Cover You (reprise), someone clears his throat before the last "loooove" and you can hear people talking when the song's over.
In the 10th Ann. Concert version of Les Miz. There are two mistakes, since it was live there are probably more.
Prologue/Work Song Look Down: When the chain gang are singing Ah,Ah. Ah.Ah. Ahhhhhhhhh. When they begin singing "Look Down" one of the chain gang sings Ah instead of Look, you can hear him change it quickly to look.
When Fantine is being assaulted by Bamatabois after Lovely Ladies. Bamatabois sings something something Grocer, then there are four beats by the horns. One horn takes an extra beat at the end.
"Company" - OBC - 'We Looooooove You' - someone is flat for a few beats and then drops out of the song. Sounds like Elaine.

It's for sure Elaine Stritch...Spoofed to hilarious perfection in the recent musical "What If?"

Ok, call me stupid or whatever, but who's flat on the finale in Wicked? I keep playing the song, but I can't tell.

She's not flat, she's actually sharp (I think). Listen to it again, its the last time the whole company says "Wicked". On the first syllable, its very noticable. Makes me cringe every time I hear it lol. I don't know who it is, tho.
The only glitch I can think of is in the Revival recording of Hello Dolly with Carol Channing.
If you play the song So Long Dearie backwards, you'll hear Carol urging you to "kill your first born child and drink of his BLOOD!"

OH...you mean THAT lady in the background screeching her head off? I thought people were referencing either Chenoweth or Menzel. Lol. Thanks for clearing that up!
"in the lines "So romantic, they were frantic, then their prayers were heard up above" you can hear two Nathan Lanes singing at the same time."
I've produced/mixed many CDs and let me tell you that there are almost always at least 2, if not more, voices singing at once. It is normally VERY soft, but it is there (it has to do with the way the ear takes in sound). In the case you mentioned the mixer probably raised one of the voices up by a DB or two, causing it to sound different.
"I think I hear my mother calling me!" (in reference to listening to the song and hearing things)
LOL! That happens to me too sometimes when I listen to some songs. There are a couple of songs in particular. I always would have to stop my music just to make sure.
P.S. I think "Run Freedom Run" was one of the songs where I used to hear my mother calling me. I also just listened to the "Music of the Night" intro and heard that "Laura" thing...freaky.
In Urinetown, I heard the mother thing when the chorus sings, "My friends!!!" right before, "You have to run, runna, runna, run freedom run away, freedom run away...!"

In the Producers, just after "King of Broadway" ends, you can kind of hear some ringing go off in the background...it's very quick and you have to blast it to hear it right after the song ends for that period of silence.
The Secret Garden
Lily's Eyes, Mandy Patinkin sang a "She..."while Westenberg sang and shut up after that. The recording engineer should be shot.

The English major in me can't let this slide:
Enunciate
To pronounce; articulate.
To state or set forth precisely or systematically: enunciate a doctrine.
Anunciate
To announce; proclaim:
Announciate
Ain't no such word.
Hah not reallu a mistake, but the loud "boom" during Castle on a Cloud (the 10th Anniversary Concert) cracks me up every time *kudos to that girl though! Didn't lose it at all*
Also...with the hearing your name thing. On one of the Les Mis recordings- can't remember which one- during the whole "I'm gonna scream- I'm gonna warn them here" I ALWAYS hear my name. When I was younger and had to walk home from the bus stop I would be listening to that and would stop walking and look around. Hah- it creeped me out.
In the Wiz's "Soon as I get Home, Stephanie Mills sings :
"If I ax to leave, will the Wiz even hear me?
On "There's Always a Woman" from Anyone Can Whistle live recording, Bernadette messes up on the name calling sequence, which throws the whole thing off.
Non Musical - 'Proud Mary" by Tina Turner - during the instrumental breaks, one of the Ikettes (who's obviously too into the groove of the song) sings an extra "Rollin"
