and they didn't think people would know what the circle line was, so they changed it to the statue of liberty.
Victor Garber clears his throat right at the start of the instrumental break in "Save The People" on the Godspell film soundtrack. You can't hear it well unless you've got headphones on, but still.
Laura Benanti sings different words and messes up in the "Birds in the sky" and "Quick, little birds" sections of the Prologue on the Into the Woods revival CR. She sings something like "...Ovof castles and ponds..."
HA! These are hysterical! I have to go listen to them all!! Keep 'em coming!

On the Wicked CD, some1 is off key in the finale...

(talked about on the OT board)
There is an odd whistle on the Avenue Q Cast Recording when Princeton sings "In college you know who you are" in How Do I Go Back to College.
On The Producers cast recording, one of the ensemble members starts says an extra something on one of the songs. I can't remember which one it is, or what she says, but I shall check.

Live Cast Recordings are the best sometimes for mess ups.
On Elegy for Angels Punks and Raging Queens (one of the best shows EVER!)-- They mess up a few times during the show. I love how the audience reacts.
Also-- on Listen to My Heart they have some instances where there are subtle mess ups.
Of course on the Wicked Cast Recording, Leo Norbert Butz in "Dancing Through Life" sings "We can dance till it lights".
Adam Pascal, RENT, "Your Eyes":
"I should tell you, I have always love you...."

That certainly was a mistake...*shakes head* Oy.

Oh
re: Norbert
He actually DOES say "We can dance till it's light"
He says the "s" in it's very faintly and he over-annunciates the "t" in light. If you listen carefully, he does the same thing with the word "night" in the previous line.
Is it just me, or does it sound like Jesse L. Martin says "Well, tonight tonight!" instead of "tonight's the night!" in Today 4 U?

Wow,
Well, tonight tonight....
LOL
That just gave me a good chuckle...
ON "...CLEAR DAY..." you can hear Barbara Harris clear her throat during the musical interlude. And does anyone else think that Streisand totally cracks on the last note of "...PARADE" on the original cast recording? (not the soundtrack)
Tonight tonight...It does sound like that
Yay, I'm not the only one!

Sounds to me like "tonight's a night" lol. Either way, it doesn't sound like "tonight's the night"

He probably said tonight's the night - just not well announciated...

Thuis isn't really a mistake, but it makes me laugh
On Hairspray at the beginning of Big Dollhouse, when they are saying..."how'd I get in this cooler, this slammer, this big doll....right here, before house, you can hear HArvey taking a big breath...house!
Oo, I remembered another one! On the OCR of Man of La Mancha, during the title song, a clarinet honks on "now" as Richard Kiley sings "Hear me now, o thou bleak and unbearable world..."
Gavin sings a wrong note in "What Do I Need With Love" on the Millie cast album.
In the OBCR of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, George Hearn made a goof in the song "With You on My Arm". After the line "On you it look graaaaaaaaaand", he starts to sing "Even the dead of winter can feel like July" instead of "Somehow you put a permanent star in my eye".
I have listened to it more than several times. Still sounds like lights to me and a lot of other people including two reviews of the CD that I read.
"On Idina Menzel's "Still I Can't Be Still" you can hear her clear her throat in the first few seconds of "Do You Think." Just proved to me that the clearing of the throat thing she does, was always around."
i was always under the impression that her clearing her throat wasnt a "mistake", but intentional. i mean, its very obvious and its right in the beginning of the song when its playing.. and it works with the song, i dont see it as a mistake
