You're welcome! I love it too. A great "11th hour" song. Have you heard Carolee Carmello's rendition of it? How is she in the role?
"Music of the Night" - Phantom of the Opera
I really can't think of that many that haven't be said.
"Make Them Hear You" from RAGTIME is the first one I thought of.

Sorry to say that I have yet to see Mama Mia, so I cannot comment. When it was touring, I was not in a position to go see it, so I missed out : But, reviews have been very favorable.
Although I have to say that nobody will ever do it for me better than ABBA!

musicaltheatrefan3.... =P !!!
Everytime I listen to "Bill", no matter who sings it, I am affected in some way.
However, there are several songs that move me on a regular basis, somehow that one just sticks out.

You all mentioned so many good ones. My mind immediately went to "Do You Hear the People Sing" from Les Mis.
"I Don't Care Much" from Cabaret (especially when it's performed right... I've heard some amazing and less than spectacular renditions of this song).
And also "Finale" from Godspell.

Oh, musicaltheatrefan3: That meant, my tongue is hanging out after reading your long list--just some humor (I like humor ).
Sorry I confused you!

I know it's not Broadway, but I simply HAVE to chuck in 'How Glory Goes' from 'Floyd Collins'. Spinechilling. O_O
I love the song 'If I Sing' from Closer than ever! Very powerful!

I agree with a lot of the above. I love "I'm still here", "Old man river" and "soliloquy" from CArousel. But for me, one of the most powerful things I've ever heard in the theater was "Gethsemane" in Jesus Christ Superstar.
All three of those Side Show songs are love songs.

I know I'm gonna be hanged for saying this but....
Defying Gravity.
Its a very moving song for me at least. Idk, I just really relate to the feeling of having to push past all your troubles, overcome a major disapointment and sacrafice alot to achieve a goal.
The Funeral and This Is Not Over Yet from PARADE come to mind.
I have to back up "Maybe This Time" from Cabaret. I love Susan Egan's rendition.
Being Alive.
Hands down.

And Being Alive.
(and I could go on with the Sondheim love, as per usual)
I would say "Bui-Doi " from Miss Saigon is one of the most powerfull songs I have heard.
