I'm trying to make a playlist on my iPod with the most romantic showtunes. What do you guys think are the showtunes that *must* be on such a list?

"Move On"-SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE
"Too Many Mornings"-FOLLIES
"Say It Somehow"-THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA
"Shall We Dance?"-KING AND I

I'm a little weird, but, while they characters are delusion, "Unworthy of Your Love" fits the bill, I think.

I've always been partial to "Suddenly Seymore" on the Little Shop of Horrors CD (although I prefer the movie version to the off-Broadway version). It's just so sweet and sincere. Love it!

Also "I'll Cover You" from RENT is quite adorable.

I know I'll get heat for this but "All I Ask of You" is a romantic song
Others:
"Something Wonderful"-my FAVORITE Rodgers and Hammerstein song and a romantic one
"If I Loved You" from Carousel
I think it's called "The Girl Was Me" from "Chess"-it makes me cry
"So In Love" from "Kiss Me, Kate"-echo this one
"Make Believe" from "Show Boat"
"People Will Say We're In Love" (I LOVE the reprise)
"In My Life" and "A Heart Full of Love" from Les Miserables
"How Could I Ever Know?" from "The Secret Garden" and "A Girl in the Valley" and "Lily's Eyes" are good choices

I think that "Too Much in Love to Care" could be the most romantic (From Sunset Boulevard)! And I was also thinking "You Are My Home," but the song is between a brother & sister (Marguerite).

And what about "Trying Not to Notice," "I Believe My Heart," and (if you have the London Cast Recording) "If Not for Me for Her," all from The Woman in White!

I think my absolutely favorite is Suddenly Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors, but I also love All I Ask of You from Phantom, Say It Somehow and Love to Me from The Light in the Piazza, They Were You from The Fantasticks, and A Heart Full of Love from Les Mis.
