"Last Night of the World"-Miss Saigon
"Not a Day Goes By"- Merrily We Roll Along
Some more:
“With So Little to Be Sure of”- try to find the version from A Stephen Sondheim Evening with George Hearn and Victoria Mallory
“So Many People”- from Sondheim's "Scrabble album" with Susan Browning and one of the Cassidy's
"She Wasn't You"- On A Clear Day OBC (or if you have Brent Barrett's Lerner CD he does a gorgeous rendition).
I don't know if any one suggested this, but Robert Goulet singing "If Ever I Would Leave You" from Camelot
Ray, Carroll's rendition is unbelievable, not only does he have a better voice than Brent Barrett (and that's saying something), but his voice is just so unique. What does the play list look like so far?
Oh, there is also the Weber Love Trio from My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies with Audra McDonald, Marin Mazzie and Judy Kuhn. It may not be the most romantic, but the performances are excellent (especially Judy Kuhn's "I Don't Know How to Love Him").
Most of my choices have already been mentioned, but I haven't seen anyone pick:
How deep is the Ocean
If Ever I Would Leave You-Camelot
So in Love-Kiss Me Kate
All I Ask of You-Phantom of the Opera
On the Street Where You Live-My Fair Lady
Unusual Way-Nine
Till There Was You-Music Man
Something Good-Sound of Music
Say it Somehow-Light in the Piazza
Some Enchanted Evening-South Pacific

"Love Changes Everything" (Aspects of Love)
"Love Makes the World Go Round" (Carnival!)
"Her Face" (Carnival)
"My First Love Song" The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Smell of the Crowd)
"My Cup Runneth Over" (I Do, I Do)
I asked this earlier but got lost among other posts, but does anyone know who performs "Shouldn't I Be Less In Love With You?" in the I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE cast recording? I got it off iTunes but it doesn't say artist's name and it drives me crazy not to have the accurate info on my iTunes (I'm OCD that way).

I like a lot of songs listed here, but one I haven't seen is Johanna(Anthony alone AND Anthony and Sweeney's).
We Make a Beautiful Pair from Shenandoah
My Heart is so Full of You
And all of the brilliant romantic Sondheim songs-
With So Little to Be Sure of
Take Me to the World
Too Many Mornings
Send in the Clowns
Johanna
Not a Day Goes By
Move On
We Do Not Belong Together
Loving You
I Wish I Could Forget You
Happiness
I'm restarting this thread just because I'm curious to know what you ended up putting on your playlist. So, what's on it?
Thanks

"I Have Dreamed" from King and I, my favorite R/H tune.
Well, I ended up with roughly 50 songs on it, but since I wanted to burn a CD as well, I had to cut it down to 25. I tried sticking to the less depressing showtunes for the most part. These are my top 25 choices (and it was really tough choosing), and obviously other people will disagree, overall AWESOME suggestions, I found a bunch of new romantic showtunes that I'm in love with now thanks to this thread. Oh, and for fairness, I specifically stuck to one song per show which was SO tough. Thanks to everyone! Let me know what you guys think. These are my top 25 listed alphabetically not in order of preference:
1. "With So Little to Be Sure Of"-ANYONE CAN WHISTLE, '95 Carnegie Hall Concert (I adore the original rendition, and Hearn's and Mallory's concert version is touching, but I'm a sucker for Peters' and Bakula's perfect version).
2. "Eve"-THE APPLE TREE, Encores! concert soundboard ("What Makes Me Love Him" is beautiful but I love the ambivalence of "Eve," the line "and suddenly I saw that she was beautiful...beautiful? Yes, that's the word" is too romantic not to be included).
3. "Fifty Percent"-BALLROOM, OBCR
4. "I Loved You Once in Silence"-CAMELOT, OBCR (So sad but so romantic).
5. "I Had a Dream About You"-DECEMBER SONGS, Betty Buckley's rendition from THE MAURY YESTON SONGBOOK
6. "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going"-DREAMGIRLS, OBCR
7. "What Would I Do?"-FALSETTOLAND (One of those I had never listened to before, and fell in love with after someone suggested it on this thread, thanks!)
8. "Too Many Mornings"-FOLLIES
9. "People"-FUNNY GIRL
10. "Shouldn't I Be Less In Love with You?"-I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE (if you haven't listened to it, you must, thanks to Craig for suggesting it, gorgeous song)
11. "Shall We Dance?"-THE KING & I, '96 Revival (the sexual tension, the unspoken love...*sigh*)
12. "Say It Somehow"-THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA (might as well include the whole score, one of the most romantic scores ever)
13. "September Song"-LOVEMUSIK, OBCR (I know it's from KNICKERBOCKER HOLIDAY but I think the Murphy/Scherer duet is perfect)
14. "The Last Night of the World"-MISS SAIGON, OLCR (I have a history with this song, it brings back great memories)
15. "My Heart is So Full of You"-THE MOST HAPPY FELLA, OBCR
16. "Lida Rose/Will I Ever Tell You?"-THE MUSIC MAN, OBCR
17. "Unusual Way"-NINE, '03 Roundabout Revival
18. "Loving You"-PASSION, OBCR (so simple and short yet it says so much, Murphy's rendition can't be matched)
19. "All I Ask Of You"-PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, OLCR (I HATE the show but this one song actually does it for me)
20. "Bill"-SHOWBOAT, '94 Hal Prince revival.
21. "Unexpected Song"-SONG & DANCE, OBCR
22. "Younger than Springtime"-SOUTH PACIFIC, Carnegie Hall concert.
23. "Move On"-SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, OBCR
24. "Gimme, Gimme"-THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, OBCR
25. "Tonight"-WEST SIDE STORY, from A PLACE FOR US, with Kristin Chenoweth and Hugh Panaro.
I am so happy others have posted the songs I was going to list, and if you add anything David Burnham sings to your iPod, you will be in a virtual state of amour!
Love to Me - The Light in the Piazza
Say It Somehow - Also from Piazza
As Long As Your Mine - WICKED
I Just Had to Hear Your Voice
In Whatever Time We Have
I Have Dreamed
I could go on and on, so just add some DB to your iPod...you won't be disappointed.

I make a Broadway Love Songs CD mix every Valentines Day!
Anyway, aside from the ones I've seen listed here...
"All the Wasted Time" from Parade
"Run Away With Me" from The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown
"Sarah Brown Eyes" from Ragtime
"I'd Give it All for You" from Songs for a New World
"She was There" from The Scarlet Pimpernel
"Forever Yours" from Once On This Island
"You Should be Loved" from Side Show (though not a happy romantic song!)
"Heart an' Hand" from Floyd Collins
"He's No Good" from The Life (again, not a happy one)
"She Loves Me" from She Loves Me
"Fantasies Come True" from Avenue Q
"Jimmy" from Thoroughly Modern Millie
"Goodbye Until Tomorrow" from The Last Five Years (though you'd have to cut out the ending, I guess)
"Anthem" from Chess
"I'm Not Saying a Word" from Blood Brothers
"Sunday" from Flower Drum Song
"Anything for Him" from Kiss of the Spiderwoman
A lot more I could list, but I have a quiz to study for
I'm not sure if I should include anything from Spring Awakening in my CD this year; it doesn't have any songs that I'd really call love songs. "Word of Your Body" is probably the closest that it gets.
