The Neil Simon theater has no booking after the Illusionits show..

Seems odd that Disaster wouldn't announce it being a limited run when they initially announced the Broadway run of the show.

From what I gather, Disaster has been intended to be a limited run from the start, even though it wasn't announced as such. When I heard the show was coming into the Nederlander, the phrase "space filler" was used...whether that's true or not, we'll see. I don't suspect Disaster will be successful and I think Motown will fair much the same this time around.

Is it a new production of the tour?

Surprised it coming back. One of the weaker jukebox shows. Will extend if business warrants but doubt it will.We shall see

Well, it pretty consistently pulled in high numbers on Broadway. My understanding from when it closed is that the producers wanted to make the production cheaper to run and bring it back. Surprised that it panned out after all this time, honestly.

Everything from the tour is exactly like Broadway. There isn't any set. I saw the tour in LA.. I went in with the lowest expectations but I ended up seeing it 2 times. It was so good!

Agreed with the poster who said this is one of the weaker jukebox musicals. With such amazing songs I feel like this was a wasted opportunity. The book was beyond awful!

Disaster is selling tix through 7/3? LOLOLOL. All of their sales will be through TDF.What is the top price for this POS? Will they be selling premium? DELUSIONAL.

Yes the book is horrible but its more of a concert to me. Go just for the performances. They can singgggg!

MOTOWN, one of the weaker jukebox musicals? Obviously this person did not see HOT FEET, GOOD VIBRATIONS or ALL SHOOK UP.

Surprised it coming back.
You should be surprised it coming back. You've always predicted it wouldn't. Stuck on the prediction runway once again.

You really need to get a hobby. You have way to much time on your hands constantly waiting on the board for me to post. Have you thought of adult coloring books?

Hey, you lay off Good Vibrations.

Saw All Shook Up and enjoyed it for what it was. It was not supposed to be groundbreaking. Re the rest of the shows, was never one to feel the need to see every show ever done on Broadway. The other 2 you mentioned did not look interesting so we did not see them . Cannot comment on what we did not see.

Since when has that ever stopped you?
Posted: 11/23/15 at 8:32pm
It makes me sad that a Broadway theater is suffering the indignity of being just another stop on a national tour.

Ask Facebook to create a profile pic filter for it. #Pray4Bdwy maybe?

Broadway doesn't need prayers. It has wine in special cups with the show logo on them ![]()

Do any jukebox musicals intend to be "groundbreaking"? What new ground has a jukebox musical ever tried to break?
