Movie Musicals to Stage Musials

Anastasia
Moulin Rouge
Prince of Egypt
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
High School Musical
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella

If you count things like Once as a movie musical - I.e, movies with a lot of diegetic musical number, then movies like Sing Street, Fame, and School of Rock could count as well

The OP was asking about musicals on film that were adapted into musicals for the stage. None on your list were originally musicals.

Add Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to the list.

I would think Hairspray would also fall under this category.

The original film of Hairspray is no more a movie musical than something like Dirty Dancing or Center Stage or even Magic Mike.

John Waters original 1988 film HAIRSPRAY was not a musical. It used a soundtrack of pre-existing dance songs. No one in the film sings. Also, not one dance song on the soundtrack was even used in the 2002 Broadway musical adaptation.
