Movies that would make good shows......

Hey everyone! I know that there was a thread somewhere about the possibility of a Chocolat musical, so I was wondering.... What are some other movies that you think would make really good shows? It can be play or musical.......

PS- I didn't know if there was already a thread on this, so if there is you can post the link if you want.... :)

Here's my first list:

Fried Green Tomatoes (musical)
Norma Rae (drama)
Finding Neverland (musical)
i'll have to think of more.......

The Exorcist
"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

1) They ARE making FINDING NEVERLAND into a musical.

2) THE TRUMAN SHOW!!!
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I suggested selena a few months ago, but apparently the idea had already come up, and a hurrendous attempt resulted.

How about Big Fish as a dramatic musical. I love this movie so much, and I think it holds that larger than life quality that seems to translate well into musical theatre.

Clueless would be a cute, funny musical and I'd love to see Finding Neverland (they should cast Johnny Depp again!) as a musical. As for Moulin Rouge, I would really love to see that made into a stage musical. I love the storyline and songs.

Actually, Rosemary's Baby would make a great musical on a serious note...

Well he had a band going for quite some time which he sang for. I dont know if that means much since I havent heard him but I'd assume it means he at least knows how to sing and has entertained the idea of doing it.
