"But anyone who truly believes effeminate gay men should die of Aids is an ignorant human being, and not someone I'd ever want to know."
ig·no·rant - adj.
Lacking education or knowledge.
Showing or arising from a lack of education or knowledge: an ignorant mistake.
Unaware or uninformed.
Not trying to pick on BroadwayChita, but the misuse of the word 'ignorant' is kind of a pet-peeve of mine. The guy sounds like a hateful jerk, but not ignorant.
hmm after reading the first and last pages of this thread, I can only guess what commenced in the middle.

Watch it - I'm playing Joanne in that tour!
So I'm not black - ever hear of non-traditional casting?? Damn, I'm so sick of the haters.

Which is why I actually suspect that Munk didn't write it...it just doesn't 'sound' like him.
But we've gotten off the topic of racial slurs, you Mick Drunk (I have no idea if you're Irish or not...just wanted to say it).

You suspect I didn't write it? You're totally right...someone hacked into my BWW account (you know how coveted THAT is) and posted this ridiculous thread.
Get over yourself, of course I posted it.
I backed off and stopped reading the thread because I don't appreciate being the butt of everyone's jokes here. I posted that story with nothing but good intentions, and I regret that it took the path it did. I backed off from the thread because the people constantly posting on this thread are not worth a damn minute of my time. I'm glad all your lives are so perfect that you can now tell other people that they are idiots and critique their relationships. F*ck each and every one of you.

Get over myself?
Please...I was giving you credit based on the fact that you seem to be a pretty smart guy that you wouldn't make a choice to date someone who could possibly say such terrible things.
Guess I was wrong.

Posted: 2/8/06 at 11:42amMunky, if you don't realize that your little story has demolished any ounce of credibility you have ever managed to earn from anyone on this board you are dumber than I ever suspected. And that is pretty dumb. No one with an ounce of intelligence will ever take anything you say seriously again. Even people who have defended you in the past realize they were wrong. So keep starting your self serving egotistical and pretentious threads...Liam and Sally Brown need someone to look up to. As for the rest of us, we are done with you.

Ya know...I took this thread in good (or nasty) fun, cause I really didn't believe the initial post.
But let's just say it IS true. One need not be in a perfect relationship...or even a really good relationship to see that this f*cker is a BAD PERSON. Is it possible for bad people to learn, grow and become good? Sure. Is it possible for lasting change like that to happen in the second act? NO.
Jesus H. Christ, Farrah...burn the bed and move to a new town.

"As for the rest of us, we are done with you".
everything i need to say is "speak for yourself and get a life Sueleengay"!
If you don't like Munk's posts, don't read them.

I love being condescended to.
Robbiej, I'm surprised you doubted the validity of this post. I mean, it's not April 1st and a quick search reveals Munkustrap has spewed out a few homophobic diatribes of his own in the past.
Like will find like.
Be happy in your joint misery. I, for one, couldn't change through Rent. However, reading Act II of this thread has caused me to realize I'm a horrible person and that I must change.

If munk's story was a fabrication and was meant to illuminate the redemptive powers of theatre there are far better means than through emotional manipulation. If the tale is true then it's a sad statement about the choices some make in life to secure a relationship, any type of relationship. It illustrates that even seemingly intelligent people make stupid decisions and devalue their own worth.
