Musical Workout Playlist?

I was curious to ask of those of you on here who workout or go to the gym, what songs from musicals are your favorite to exercise to? I'll list of a few of my favorites here.

- Tomorrow Is a Latter Day - BoM (Especially around 0:55 when the beat really kicks in. BoM is a great energetic score, but this one especially I find good for the gym.)

- Carrying the Banner - Newsies

- Shiksa Goddess - TL5Y

- I'm Alive - N2N

- Bitch of Living & Totally F*CKed - Spring Awakening

So those are a few, and I'd be curious to hear your guys' favorite workout songs from musicals!

"Sugar Daddy" and "Angry Inch" from Hedwig are both prime!

Oh thanks! Sorry for not checking if this had already been posted, but it looks like it's been several years since those were active so some new scores have been released!

I know some of them are a few years old. But I posted them so you could look at them for some suggestions users have made before in response to this inquiry. Musical Workout Playlist?

I am pretty sure there is a song called "Whip Into Shape" from legally Blonde. That would be like the ultimate workout song, haha...

Or "Pumping Iron" from Starlight Express. Is that too on the nose?

Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde, and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert are great for cardio! Also, "Buenos Aires" and "And The Money Keeps Rolling In" from the film soundtrack of Evita and "Pinball Wizard" from Tommy.

"I saw Pavarotti play Rodolfo on stage and with his girth I thought he was about to eat the whole table at the Cafe Momus." - Dollypop

I second those two Hedwig songs, they're great for the gym!

I also like Candy Store, Dead Girl Walking and Meant to be yours, from Heathers; Benny's dispatch, When you're home and Carnaval del Barrio, from In the Heights; I want it all, from Baby; Bless the Lord from Godspell, And I am telling you from Dreamgirls, God I hate Shakespeare from Something Rotten, and What you own and Today for you, from Rent.

Work out to show tunes?! Nah, that's just way too gay.

Buenos Aires (Evita with Patti of course)
Ladies Who Lunch (Company)

You can actually find mixes that have been made of Broadway Showtunes for Cardio. I have a bunch of them. They are great for working out.

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

I've been taking mostly classes at the gym, but sometimes on the elliptical/treadmill I play Rocky Horror-the one with Lea Delaria and Raul Esparza. That gets me moving. The only problem is sometimes I start to do the Time Warp on the treadmill and nearly fall down.

Two appropriate songs that lamentably weren't recorded include the original arrangement of "In" from CARRIE and "Shine" from SMILE.

I actually really like hunchback. I like a nice epic sound when I workout.

I had a friend who stayed with me who used to dance around my house in pink briefs while listening to a dance remix of defying gravity. (Despite allegedly hating wicked.). I thought that would be a good workout song. I also enjoy picturing certain other people doing this from time to time as its a highly entertaining image.

Once Hamilton comes out I think my shot will be a good one. Maybe some other hamiltunes too.
