"AHH! I'm not the only one who likes this album (I'm biased though)."
I listened to Bring on the Men but I just can't listen to anything else from it yet except for A New Life! Kate is SO good!

"Right now the song I'm stuck on is "Un Hombre Asi/A Boy Like That" from West Side Story. Especially when Josephina Scalione shouts, "You should know better".
I completely agree with you! That part sticks in my head for hours on end. Aside from that, The 'Next to Normal' cast recording has been controlling my life. However, the main three songs are 'I'm Alive', 'Just Another Day', and 'I've Been'.

Yeah, me too! I can't get over how he basically turns into a completely different person vocally after the first music break!

Posted: 6/15/09 at 5:26pmSchmerg- I'm not gonna lie, "Who I'd Be" is probably one of the most beautifully written songs I've heard in a while! I know that I'll get a lot of crap thrown at me for saying that, but it truly is beautiful!

I listen to the NBCR of Hair straight through about 3 times a day due to my job being one of those "sit around and do nothing all day" jobs.
Also the Glee version of don't stop believing, and the video I riped of Aaron Tveit singing Goodbye from CMIYC. Just lovely.

I was going through my cast recordings, and I just started listening to the 2000 Off-Broadway Cast recording of Godspell. I can't stop listening to Leslie Kritzer's rendition of Learn Your Lessons Well. The second verse is awesome!
Shoshana Beans's Bless the Lord is good too! :)

I hope this thread is not exclusive only to songs in stage musicals. When listening on a portable device through headphones I tend to appreciate and prefer (but not exclusively) the lush orchestrations and larger orchestras used on film musicals. The songs that I listen to the most recently are:
You're Gonna Hear from Me - Jackie Ward (Inside Daisy Clover ST)
Being Alive - Larry Kert (Company-B'Way-London Cast)
You and I - Petula Clark (Goodbye Mr. Chips ST)
Comes Once in A Lifetime - Carol Lawrence & Sydney Chaplin (Subways are for Sleeping)
Bored - Dolores Gray (Kismet ST)
It's Alright with Me - Frank Sinatra (Can-Can ST)
The Faraway Part of Town - Judy Garland (Pepe ST)
Tall Hope - Will Swenson & Male Chorus (Wildcat Orig. Cast)
Mama Look Sharp - Stephen Nathan, William Duell, & Mark Montgomery (1776 ST)
Younger than Springtime/Bali Hai - Bill Lee & Ken Darby Singers (South Pacific ST)
Send in the Clowns - Judi Dench (A Little Night Music-London RNT Cast)
It Must Be So - Larry Kert (Candide - Larry Kert Sings Bernstein)
Little Girl Blue - Doris Day (Jumbo ST)
Say A Prayer for Me Tonight - Betty Wand (Gigi ST)
Day by Day - Robin Lamont & Company (Godspell ST)
Joey Joey Joey - Art Lund (The Most Happy Fella B'way Cast)
Rose's Turn - Lisa Kirk (Gypsy ST)
Never on Sunday - Melina Mercouri (Illya Darling B'way cast)
From This Moment On - Tommy Rall, Ann Miller, Bob Fosse & Bobby Van (Kiss Me Kate 1953 Film ST)
I'd Do Anything - Jack Wild, Shani Wallis, Sheila White, Ron Moody & Chorus (Oliver! ST)
They Call the Wind Maria - Harve Presnell (Paint Your Wagon ST)
Zip - Jo Ann Greer (Pal Joey ST)
Song of A Summer Day - Jackie Ward and Sue Allen (The Young Girls of Rochefort - English ST)
