Musicals about Teenagers

I was thinking today about Grease and how all of the characters are teenagers, and yet the cast....doesn't look like teenagers. It got me thinking.....how many musicals are out there where the leads are actually supposed to be teenagers?

I can think of a couple off the top of my head:

West Side Story
Grease
Bye Bye Birdie

Bare
Spring Awakening
Babes in Toyland
The Me Nobody Knows
Fame
Footloose

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Going to a musical late in its run is like going to a prostitute late in her shift.

Wicked

You're A Good Man Charlie Brown (ok, they're not teenagers, but the roles are still usually played by adults).
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
