Which musicals touched you the most? Not necessarily your favorites. Mine:
Honk!
Wicked
The Phantom of the Opera
Rent

James Joyce's The Dead was very touching and endearing.
I have to admit, I was very touched by Wicked.
Rent and Little Women got me as well.
I cried buckets throughout Les Miserables. Ragtime was another one that got me at the very end. I am an easy cry though - I can cry at Hallmark commercials at Christmas.
Not to sound cliche, but Rent and Wicked have touched me the most. Followed by Les Miserables. Every show I've seen has had some effect on me, other than Chicago.
Most recently it was Little Women....
Phantom, Into the Woods, Millie, Wicked, Side by Side by Sondheim

Children of Eden (my first listening to a modern musical)
Wicked...i was obsessed for months, now its like i over listened...shame.
The Wild Party (Lippa)...you dont know how many nights i stood with my fingers as a gun singing Burrs' part in 'make me happy'!
A New Brain...the first modern musical recording i bought, the finale is just awesome! and when the beginning starts up it just brings back all the memories!
Marie Christine...this recording was the light of my life for so long after i heard it, and when i first heard 'Beautiful' sung by Audra, god the memories!

Cabaret. I tear up just listening to the cast recording... I want to tell the Emcee that I'm sorry because it is all of our faults... troubles can't be left outside, they'll work their way in...

Parade. I went to go see it in Chicago at the Bailiwick Theater and there were 3 different times I just broke down and balled. The one song that got to me the most was The Funeral Song.
Wicked of course! For Good had me in tears every single time...

lol this might sound corny, but yes Wicked touched me, BECAUSE I saw it with my best friend and believe me, we are exactly like Will & Grace, except we don't live together.
well, first time I saw CATS one of the male CATS came out into the audience and rubbed up against my leg. I turned gay right then and there.
