On The Twentieth Century.
I would love to see a staging of this.
Andrea Martin would be a perfect Mrs. Primrose.
Also: Grand Hotel, Merrily, and Kiss Of The Spider Woman

Yes to Grand Hotel, and Side Show, Merrily We Roll Along and the ninth annual revival of Gypsy (I joke, but seriously).
I also wouldn't say no to hugely re-worked versions of Ballroom and Mack and Mabel.

By far "On the 20th Century".
The book works, the score is amazing. The arguement that it needs a huge set was brought down by The Actors Fund Concert which used minimal sets.
If they revived it, the leads should be the ones in The Actors Fund Concert. Marin Mazzie and Douglass Sils were wonderful.

I think if Les Miz wasnt just revived, the 2008 Signature staging would've went to broadway...It was such a fascinating new take on the show. Pippin is one of the easiest musicals to put a new concept on so it's strange that it has never been revived. And I would love a new Into the Woods but it would be embarrassing considering there would have been 3 productions of it since Phantom opened the same year.
Oh. REEFER MADNESS!! :)

Agreed on Sig's recent take on Les Mis. I didn't see it but what I have seen has impressed.
I'd like to see Evita revived but something closer to the Hal Prince version. Not impressed with the London revival staging.

I think the new Cam Mac production of Les Mis will end up on Broadway after a US tour...

"Fiorello" starring Nathan Lane. I'd pay premium for that!

Because it was my very first Broadway show, Secret Garden.
Also, The Who's Tommy.

Once On This Island would be better Off-Broadway. It's a small cast, small orchestra, minimal sets.

I'll go obscure and say "The Golden Apple" and "Drat! The Cat."

For those yearning for Les Miserables, it will be at the Papermill Playhouse in NJ this November/December. The Papermill has an outstanding lineup this season: Hairspray, Les Miserables, Spelling Bee, Curtains, Forum.

Oh Taz we think alike! I saw On The 20th Century a bazillion years ago with Judy Kaye, Rock Hudson, Imogene Coca and Kevin Kline and I am still in love with it.
I love your casting idea but Carol Burnette would bring the crowds running.
