Encores is supposed to be devoted to "the American Musical". Therefore you won't see THE BOYFRIEND, which was a British show.

I think the new Cam Mac production of Les Mis will end up on Broadway after a US tour...
Not claiming any of this to be fact but I have a feeling Cameron regrets having reopened the show in New York so soon after it closed. Even more--calling it a major "revival" when it was more of a convenient extension of a just-closed national tour. Not saying it doesn't count as a revival but something tells me that label was slapped on as a marketing ploy and the revised (terrible) orchestration was supposed to be the work the show had undergone that would further justify its hasty revival.
Reviving the show AGAIN only 2 or 3 years after the so-called first "revival" is going to look like a joke and won't bode well for the show's reputation, and I say that as a huge fan of the show who can't get enough.

Sunday in the Park with George
I was never able to see the recent revival...so I'd like it to come back. Just for me. That'd be quite nice.

I'm sure I've said this before, but I'd like to see a revival of She Loves Me with Kate Baldwin as Amalia. I saw her in the Huntington production in 2008 and she was enchanting.
I also would love to see revivals of The Secret Garden, Grand Hotel and Big River.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

I'd LOVE to see The Secret Garden revived. It has been too long.
Song and Dance (a guilty pleasure of mine) could use a revival. Although NOT like the most recent London one with those awful new songs. Ugh.

It would be nice to see the Hytner production of Carousel be revived. I saw that production 3 times and it was stunning.
I know the very recent revival of Ragtime was a flop, but I loved that particular production and wish it never had closed as quickly as it did.

I would love to see a revival of Candide. I doubt it would have the staying power for a long run but maybe a limited engagement? Perhaps a Lincoln Center production? I don't think her comedic acting is at all right for Cunegonde, but I can't help wanting to hear Kelli O'Hara sing Glitter and Be Gay.

lots of great ones mentioned already. i don't know if this qualifies since i believe it was off-broadway, but Little Shop of Horrors would be pretty great. i could see Matthew Broderick as Seymour. or is he too old for the part?

I can't help but feel that the last revival of Little Shop of Horrors demonstrated why this show does better in smaller Off-Broadway type venues. Another production may be able to be more successful at avoiding the over-blown, out of proportion feeling that the Broadway production had, but I'm going to remain a skeptic on that for the time being.
