Of course, since I'm still traveling, more may come. Here are quite a few (especially for Jaystarr, who I know has been eager to see them).
Thanks for posting!

Thanks for those pics- Its nice too see it - specially the marquee for The 39th Step (which will premiere in Boston's Huntington this fall ) Wow ! West End does not seem to be as crowded as Broadway (or Times Square) , huh?
I have another thing to ask you-- you know how I feel about those playbills
, So they dont have Playbill in WestEnd and what do they give before the show ? just a program ? and how does it look like ?
Thanks again/ Have safe trip home & Happy Belated Birthday again !!

Edit : BTW- I heard that the "chat room " is not the same without you

Jay - you can buy the programs for a small fee. The Boeing Boeing program cost 3 pounds, but the Wicked one (which I bought for a friend) cost around 6.
At the Gate Theater in Dublin, the Private Lives program was 5 Euro. Unfortunately, the show was sold out, but I'm glad I could get the program as a momento of my time there.
These are making me jealous.
I miss London!
Seems your more interested in the bill boards than the gorgeous theatre buildings!

Fleet Street!
(Where's my razor...?)
Some good pictures, the jump between London, Dublin and Edinburgh(?) confused me a little.
The Gate is an interesting theatre, I saw Sweeney Todd there.
Here are my London theatre photos:

Jaystarr- The West End is not like Times Square. In New York the theaters are all within a few blocks of each other, but in the West End they are really a lot more spread out.

I always find it fascinating seeing the outside of theatres. The shows inside them are huge, often the auditioriums and stages are huge, they just don't look big enough from the outside to house it all!
GAH. I love London. West End is the greatest ever. I miss.
London has such beautiful marquees, compared to the U.S. Love the Chicago marquee.
Yankee,
Be sure you check out Her Majesty's Theatre. It's one of the most beautiful in the world, and has surprisingly little signage denoting that Phantom plays there.
princeton78: I love how subtle it is, It doesn't yell PHANTOM. http://www.flickr.com/photos/fiyero/1119870614/
It is just a tiny sign.
I liked the old little shop marquee better than this one but otherwise its a great show {at the duke of york's maybe?)

Thanks for posting these! I hope to visit the West End some day. Is it as fantastic as it seems? Hopefully I'll be able to take a semester abroad once I'm in college (one more year!)
The Little Shop pic is of the Ambassadors after the transfer from the Duke Of Yorks
It doesnt yell Phantom!
Just like all great opera houses dont yell - Carmen or La Traviata - subtle is the word

You collection is so like mine. Its great to see someone has the appreciation of the buildings and not just the bill boards for the shows they house. And as someone ahs said -London puts Broadway to shame.
