By the way...I sent a friend to see the show on Saturday and they said there was a sign up in the program for a CD!!!! I guess that means they have or they are recording it.
I CAN NOT WAIT.
I'm going to try to go again tonight to see if it's true and sign up now for the CD.
Anyone know if this is true??

I heard they are recording some songs this week for a CD sampler before recording the entire show.

I saw Bare yesterday from the front row, and yes, there was a form to fill out to have a CD sampler sent to you (and yes, Adam's silver go-go shorts were right in front of me!)

Saw the show yesterday also. Even with some minor flaws, Bare soars. What a great afternoon at the theatre. The cast is top-notch and the score is incredible.

Was it eligible for the Drama Desk or Outer Critic awards? If it was, it was snubbed for Best Musical and for Michael Arden's extraordinary performance.

PS- Filled out my cd sampler sheet :)

I think I heard a box office woman saying something about how the A/C isn't terrific there, so it gets uncomfortable after the end of May or so. I absolutely loved this show! It was so powerful, I wasn't crying but I was shaking as I left the theater... I think the voices were great- very big, but they would have sounded better in a bigger house. Can't wait for a cast recording to hear all the music again! (Don't know much about music, but it sounded somewhat similar to Rent, with the speaking-singing style.) I noticed at intermission that quite a few people sitting behind us had left...it's a little inappropriate. The cast all works so hard and it looks like they're really giving their all, I hope this show does well!

Even though some Drama Desk members had recommended ''Bare'' for awards consideration, I've been told that the show asked NOT to be eligible this season. Apparently, ''Bare'' hopes to do some tinkering and reopen in the fall, so they might be considered for next year's Drama Desk Awards. (Glad to hear about a CD!)

i saw it with my sis on sunday and we both really liked it. i thought the cast was great. peter and sister chantelle were my favorites. the girl from sabrina was good but the character is annoying. the chubby sister was a stand out also. i hope it transfers to bway but to a small house.

I can't wait to go again.

Now now, enough with the sex talk :)

Don't forget to bring your hanky to clean up afterwards.
