I hope, hope, hope that if this true (and really, I do usually believe Variety), I hope the cast and crew have heard this and it won't be a repeat of the Mary Poppins closing.
Does this open the door for Disney to bring in Hunchback next Spring?
HUNCHBACK... is playing at Paper Mill through April 5th, which makes it near impossible for the show to come in this season.

I'm sad to see the close. It was the second musical I saw in my trip to NYC last year. It was an entertaining show, but I will be seeing the tour soon.
Not surprising. It's recouped and had a good run. I don't think anyone involved, including Disney, can be disappointed.
