Posted: 5/10/04 at 12:29pmExactly what was childish about my comment. Your deciding on the interior and exterior beauty or lack thereof of people who wish certain shows they don't like to close is very very mature and even handed. Plus, I am rubber you are glue. No takebacks.

Posted: 5/10/04 at 12:33pmLOL...I guess what is most ironic is there is a major illegal war raging in Iraq and so many other problems in the world and we are on here bickering over musical theatre ( I know you'll jump down my throat but it is a mediocre art form at best, I'll take a great opera anyday)

But thank you for gracing us simple folk with your brilliant, albeit gramatically struggling, insights.

Explain to me, why then you are on a musical theatre website. I have neither the time, the peace of mind nor the low IQ it requires to read your childish moronic drivel posts magicfingers. Either grow up, find some friends or get out. The people in Iraq are fighting for freedom, freedom of speech. What we are expressing on this board. Don't try to bring those stupid arguments on this board. When you come on here and insult musical theatre you should be kicked in the face by a Rockette. Let Namo express his opinion, let redhot express his, and now you know my opinion of you. And although it's hypocritical of me, I really don't care about your opinion anymore.
Good day to you sir or madame.

Free lunch? I'd rather have a free...oh no...I'm too much a lady to say it.
Hey magicfingers, if I plop a quarter in your slot, will you come over and shake my bed?

magicfingers, the way you automatically jump to the "thers a war on!" comeback, and therefore we shouldnt talk about anything else, makes you seem like you belong in a bad snl sketch from a couple of monthes ago. why come to a broadway board and say that talking about musical theater is trivial? shouldnt you be at the met were you can be engrossed in you "higher (*cough* dated) art form?
sorry to the opera fans, but as sumofallthings said, its all in "free speach".

Posted: 5/10/04 at 5:14pmHopefully most of the public wont watch the Tony telecast again this year. The ratings have been dismal for years. As far as the award having much impact- remember Passion beat Beauty & The Beast but Passion closed in a few weeks while Beauty rolls along!

huh. I came on to this thread thinking I was going to be discussing the shows most likely to close next, but I guess not.
Then again, what do I know? I'm just a newbie.

Posted: 5/10/04 at 5:35pmI'd have to agree with LSoH. I can't really say about Wonderful Town, but I'm kind of surprised that 42nd Street(I know--the Tony's won't affect it, so it's kindof off topic) is still going, or has it been announced? And just out of curiosity, how much longer to you think Beauty and the Beast will go? I know it's big with tourist, but it frankly kinda bores me. And for some reason, Bombay Dreams seemed doomed to me before it opened...I just had a funny vibe. But, as some one previously stated, it's picking up.

It got 5 Tony nominations, including Best Revival and both leading ladies (Donna in Lead, Jennifer in Supporting). The other two were Direction and Choreography.
Little Shop, on the other hand only got one..Hunter Foster as Lead Actor. I don't know if that is enough to keep the show going.

Posted: 5/10/04 at 6:02pmLSOH or Bombay with the early money on LSOH .What a pity for a throughly delightful show

How can you say that? That is so closed minded! Every few months some people say RENT should close and that's usually because THEY saw the OBC and think nobody on earth could replace them or whatev. Frankly, as long as there are members of disbanded boy bands and pop groups assembled by committee, there will be a RENT waiting to employ them. Why you all be hatin on RENT so much all the time? Dayum.
(PS: Magicfingers, there's plenty of discussion of the war over on the off-topic board, and many of the people you are criticizing for responding to your childishness are contributors to those discussions. But at least we know you're Just Another Tired Opera Queen.)

LSOH will most likely be next only because it wont get to be shown on the Tonys and only got one nomination
