The NY Times just posted performances from five Tony nominees--Mueller, Foster, O'Hara, Shalhoub and Iglehart.

I watched Kelli's performance pretty much all day yesterday. Stunning.

While Kelli's performance is amazing, I am also floored by Jessie's! So raw and wonderful.
"To Build a Home" is breathtaking a cappella. I wish I could have seen that performance live. Kelli was stunning, as always, and so was James Monroe Iglehart!

I went to the Bridges cast recording signing event at Barnes & Noble on 5/23 and it was a madhouse. Could only watch performances on a screen outside the room so I was disappointed. Watching Kelli perform a cappella on this NYT clip made up for it. I am speechless.

What I find fascinating in hearing Kelli, Jessie and Sutton back to back is what an apples-oranges category their's is this year. With each working at the top of her game, in entirely different styles, it really becomes arbitrary who wins. They are all doing exactly what's called for to illuminate their respective characters, including Idina and Mary Bridget. So do you prefer apples or oranges, or maybe grapefruit or kumquat or pomegranite?
^I agree that these performers are all bringing something completely different to the table. What I like best about the best leading actress category this year, however, is that all the performances (save for maybe Mary Bridget Jones) are not the typical flashy, "big" performances. They're much more subtle, and I think, effect. A truly amazing year for the leading ladies - I have no idea who I would choose as my Tony vote.

My first vote would personally go to Jessie Mueller, my second would definitely go to Kelli O'Hara.
"A truly amazing year for the leading ladies". True, true.
Given my partisan love for all things Bridges, I WILL point out gently that Kelli was the only one in the group to make her song come alive A CAPPELLA. No piano, no guitar (not even the cello or choral backing as heard in the show). Yet somehow we heard every harmony.
I know it's so early days but still, I've been listening to the BRIDGES recording practically non-stop since its release - "To Build a Home" is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard and it has quickly become one of my most listened to songs.
Marhsa Norman is criticised for her book. However, she wrote the story for this show and I wonder if she deserves credit for the idea of how to start this show. It reminds me very much of "NIGHT, MOTHER" - she isn't walking on stage crazy (cf. NEXT TO NORMAL; Bernadette in FOLLIES), her life is just stale and disappointing. A perfect way to set-up why would be taken aback by Robert. (Maybe it's the source material idea, I don't know).
