I KNEW IT!!!
(Buy your subscriptions now. 'Cause the Foote season is going to be remarkable, and that way you don't have to struggle to get the $20 seats which will sell out quick for ANGELS.)

Posted: 9/1/09 at 3:18pmI'd bet CAROLINE, or CHANGE is on the season sked, as well.
re: NY's Signature Theatre to revive Angels in America#6
Posted: 9/1/09 at 3:23pmThe NY Times mentions that Kushner may write something new for his Signature season.

I was going to say CAROLINE, OR CHANGE should really be a part of it, but since it was in NY not so long ago, I'm sure they'll present something else. As Smaxie pointed out, the article says Kushner might write a new play, though I don't see why the article specifies that Kushner won't do any new writing for ANGELS, ANGELS does not need new writing at all, it's perfectly brilliant as it is (though I assume the article mentions it since they talk about adapting the epic elements of the play to the space at the Signature).
This is INCREDIBLY exciting, I really cannot wait to see the play. I don't know if they are going for no names, or for bigger names, but Frank Langella would make a wonderful Roy Cohn.

Posted: 9/1/09 at 3:41pmI LOVE Angels in America, but I've always wondered how it's performed live. Do they perform both part I and II in the same day/night?
re: NY's Signature Theatre to revive Angels in America#10
Posted: 9/1/09 at 3:43pmAs with the Broadway production, there will be days where you can see both parts.

I'm really looking forward to attending to the plays during a marathon day. I didn't realize they were 3 hours and a half each! That's 7 hours of Tony Kushner brilliance. Cannot wait.
Wouldn't mind seeing Kate Burton as the Angel, Cherry Jones as Hannah.
Who would make a good Harper? It sucks that Mary-Louise Parker is too old for the part now, I'd have loved to see her reprise her magnificent screen performance for the stage.

I haven't see a better play than Angels in America.
And then, the HBO film-not to be surpassed!

re: NY's Signature Theatre to revive Angels in America#16
Posted: 9/1/09 at 4:21pmCherry was also a replacement Angel in the original Broadway production.

I hope so too, Bobby, though I'd be much happier if they indeed did CAROLINE, OR CHANGE (yes, I know it's just wishful thinking).
Smaxie, I actually didn't realize that, how neat, even more reason for her to move on to Hannah in this production, I think
