If it makes you feel any better, when she recognized me out side the stage door in LA I almost fainted also. I was walking away to leave the stage door and I totally tripped over myself because my legs were like jelly and fell flat on my butt. I hope she didn't see!!!

I never understood the giddyness and "OMG" feeling in meeting a celebrity. They are just people like you or me.
Ah well - I'm happy for you.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I'm not usually "OMG" about celebs either but Marissa is a terrific role model
In fact, it was Hairspray more than anything else that helped me overcome my eating disorder and made me accept my body for what it is
stylinbohemian, I'm glad for you and Happy Birthday!

Kind of like when my mom screamed across 52nd, "Hey! KERRY! THIS IS JULIE!" Oy. Lol. My mom was like, "Let's get a picture" And I was like, "Uhm, that's okay..." ANd Kerry more or less grabbed me, andnow i have a picture of us. Lol.
Well, I'm glad he got away with it.

It's always so much fun to meet somone you REALLY want to meet and admire. Good for you! It's great that she was so nice too...unlike SOME people who think they are too good for fans (Ms. Lea Salonga!).

Great gift! And even if she is *just a person*, she is your idol, and it is awesome that you got to meet her.
