NPH'S Outfit looks like something a waiter would wear, the cut is interesting, but that's all it's got going for it. It's the pants length that bother me- they are not short enough to look like it is deliberate- they just look too short.

One of the reasons these outfits don't really work is because the two are such a picture of vanilla gay family in there branding. It just doesn't jibe with who they are (or who we think they are based on their public images).

Plus, I'm worried about Neil's gaunt frame! Girl, don't go for sugar-free Redbull to get you through the performances!!

Maybe, but the hems on the Clover Dress are not as umbrella-like.

This is what Neil and David looked like a few weeks ago at the Emma Thompson/Bryn Terfel Sweeney Todd at Avery Fisher Hall:



We saw them at intermission and decided to intermission-stalk them. So we pretended to stroll-and-chat while remaining no more than 10 paces behind them. Finally we ran into a friend who had to gush about Emma and we lost the trail.

I'm sorry--does that sound creepy? It was just intermission--we weren't going to follow them home or anything.

Do y'all know how expensive those outfits are? I'd like to see YOU turn those down. I think the POINT of the suit is to look un-tailored. They both look great, and judging based on some of the looks from last year (where, clearly, it was the same event) they are hardly out of place. Whether those are pictures from this year, last year, eight years ago or twelve years ago… it's still the MET BALL where the dress code is clearly high fashion that no one seems to appreciate.

The punk theme from last year's Met Ball was fabulously fun...especially when you take into consideration the HIDEOUS dress that awful Kardashian woman was forced to wear.
