The way this is being fast-tracked, I wouldn't be surprised if it's for licensing, ala Moana and Moana Jr.

Disney is going all-in on Tangled now, it seems - the previously-shelved live action remake is back in production with Scarlett Johansson attached as Mother Gothel.
Glad to see that movie's finally getting the appreciation it deserves. Honestly, I prefer it to Frozen.

Is the project indeed a stage version of TANGLED, or was it a workshop of the film script/score? Because Disney has done those for other properties (featuring Broadway folks who will never be involved with the film).

The fact that a live action remake and a stage musical are in the works at the same time is just insane!
