It would be great to have this production on Broadway with Eva and Jon Jon reprising their roles, even if it's just for a short engagement.

exactly. As I said earlier, the show has a good 6-8 month gap from when they currently have is scheduled to close(Jan. 201
to when the tour should start(Aug/Sept. 201. That's leaves the option for up to a 6 month extension. And if the Broadway production is that popular, they can make it an open-ended run & launch the tour separately.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Pretty sure both of the Les Mis revivals, as well as the last Cabaret revival, were all advertised as limited engagements. As long there's asses wanting to sit in those seats, it's not going anywhere.
I'm still of the mind that these dates will give time for Matilda time to run its course and Miss Saigon will take the Shubert.

Those sexist things happened so are important to be told.
Ostrich behaviour never helped anyone, and this is just a beautiful story, not meant to help anyone.
Also, the show is not racist.

Here is the 2000 Manila version of the show. It is not the best document, as the cast is a little too old overall, the tempo of the songs is generally a bit too slow, and they sing with too much "forced vibrato" (Hugh Jackman les mis reach the backrow style) (I prefer the style they use in the current London revival, which is generally a more natural way of full on, legit singing combined with acting which makes it feel more natural). But still very nice to see:

Thank you for posting that! I did the show in high school and have never seen a professional production.
