Oh, After Life, you never disappoint.
If they'd cast Kate Winslet, I would've literally furnish the marionette theatre and just live there for the whole run of the show.

"I swear, if you existed, I'd divorce you."
Oh, Kad, what a cad you are! And here I thought, (that is, if I existed), that married life was destined to be happily ever after, just like in the fairy tales.
If only someone could have written a musical, or several, informing us otherwise, I wouldn't be so devastated at this news.
Oh well, as long as I'd get the house and the spinnet, that would cushion the blow.
In the event that this transfers, is it even a possibility for O'Hare and Adams to go with it? They're both names, and it's likely that they have other projects awaiting them come fall.
It probably won't happen because of her TV show, but I would love to see Sutton Foster as The Baker's Wife. She said on a Broadway.com video that it's one of her dream roles, and I think her voice would fit very nicely for it. It'd be curious to see if she could deliver the different levels of the role too. Then again, I'd listen to her read Chinese take-out menu, so I'm biased. Anyone else?
Not that she would be a draw, but Andrea Burns would be lovely as Baker's Wife. Or Heidi Blickenstaff. Both have the voices for it and can do the comedy.

I think it should transfer. If Amy Adams is unavailable I think Kristin Chenoweth, Laura Michelle Kelly, or Ashley Brown would all be great as the Baker's Wife. I also think that Anneliese van der Pol would be terrific as Cinderella since Jessie Mueller would not be able to transfer.
It's too bad Little Red isn't in her 50's because Patti would be hilarious in that role.
Oh, the things I would do to see Patti LuPone play Little Red. Just to say I did.
Just to hear Patti say "You Can Talk To Birds?" would be worth a premium seat price.
A stunning rebuttal from After Eight. Though I shouldn't be surprised you didn't get the reference. It's from a play featuring unhappy people, after all, and such vile pap is unwanted.
No. Amy Adams hair scares me.
Of course not. There's not one legitimately good reason to do so. In fact, they should put a moratorium of twenty years for the tired old thing.

I was just thinking the same thing about you!
Patti LuPone as Little Red is the most brilliant idea... I wish it were possible.
