How about a series finale and be done with it?
Really, it's been on for far longer than it should have been, and, as others have pointed out, it's gone from cute to flat-up weird and utterly improbable.
Time to put it out to pasture.
Flashforward 10 years, where they all annoy their co-workers with spontaneous outbursts of cover songs
Or follow them long enough so they can turn it into A Chorus Line.

I dunno. Perhaps...a plot? I liked the show at the beginning...for the first few episodes or so. It was fun and goofy and filled with great dark comedy. Jane Lynch is the only good thing on that show now. She deserves all the awards in the world for staying so wonderful in such a useless show. It HAS gotten annoying. I hate the characters. I say kill 'em all off on a plane to nationals next year and be done with it, then come back the next season and get a new batch of kids and try to not turn them annoying, too!
That is all.

All the gay characters from Glee get raptured, and the show focuses on their divine mission to help their friends overcome their ungodly sexuality.

Considering a number of other shows have successfully spread one school year over two seasons (Degrass (original), Beverley Hills 90210 & Sabrina, The Teenage Witch are three off the top of my head), I am suprised they didn't try that here.
Instead we will get Saved By The Bell: The New Class.
I doubt will get past season 4.
Nah, we'll have GLEE: the Next Generation. Then GLEE: Voyager. Then we'll have to back up to GLEE: the Middle School Years to see how they all invented transporter technology and warp drives.
I agree that they should go out with some dignity left and a plot. I was a huge fan if the show but I am not watching the next season unless they have a plot. I cant believe that they are already planning a 4th Season.
I want Terri to come back. Everything she did on the show made it worth watching: baby-snatching, doctor black-mailing, dosing kids with OTC meth ingredients, etc. As much as audiences (loved to) hate her, it is absolutely no coincidence that the series started its nosedive when she was back-benched. The dark, cartoony world of Glee needs an outright villain. Sue Sylvester and Santana were the two closest to filling that void, but then the writers had to go and give them pathos. I don't want pathos, Glee writers, I want Dr. Claw, Gargamel and Skeletor sitting atop a mountain of skulls while plotting the defunding of arts education in Lima, Ohio.
Oh and figure out Matthew Morrison's character or release him from his contract.

A villain with motivation or pathos isn't half bad, although I'd settle for Skeletor. Maybe his kid goes to the Glee school?

The #1 thing I would like to see from Glee is story and character continuity.

I actually loved this show the first season. Unfortunately, it has become unwatchable lately. There was a point during the last season (...the one where the kids had a drinking party...) where I actually said "I can't watch this anymore." I turned it off then and I haven't watched it since. How sad that what was once such a promising show has become unwatchable. I miss the show that they began with....and I'm not sure they can get that magical feeling back....

What would I like to see next?
Cancellation. This show has become unwatchable.
Maybe try hiring some likeable characters who can actually sing, perhaps? The guys are aweful!
More shameless pandering to the audience by covering whatever song is coolest a month before shooting.
I'd like GLEE to be canceled immediately. And for the brilliant Jane Lynch to star in her version of THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW.

I'd like Glee to result in an arms race of gay representation in media.

A lynching.
hey you guys...I AM A GLEEK AND PROUD OF IT!...anyone want to make something of that?...i got pushed around alot in high school, so i joined CHORUS and DRAMA, where i felt i actually belonged, so i love these kids and totally get the show...i feel sort of bad that so many so-called sophisticated tv viewers, (if you can call anyone who watches tv that) don't like or hate the show...when i was in high school, we sang primarily broadway show tunes, so of course i am partial to anything LEA MICHELLE or CHRIS COLFER sing...i was in broadway-heaven when they both sang DEFYING GRAVITY together...OMG!...it was a moment...
You know what? That's a great post. Seriously.
For my part, I was just making a silly joke. I've seen only a few episodes, but I enjoyed them. But if I had a show like this when I was in high school, I'd have lost my mind.
So I'm really nothing but glad that this show exists.
