I found it interesting that this different logo for SHREK is being used on telecharge. Unfortunately it's not any better than the original logo. Sorry i can't find a bigger picture!
It is. If you watched the Seattle video you saw the merch booth. They were selling shirts with those logos on them.
Everyone was making a fuss over the first one. This one is worse.
worst. logo. ever.
Nah. I think Footlose still holds the crown.
What's so bad about the new logo? It's simple, and the title says it all. What's not to like?

It's simple and will probably change again when it gets to Broadway. But if not, it's better than the other one, in my opinion.
It's fine.
That Footloose logo makes me want to die.
Neither Logo make me gag or wanna see the show, I think it needs a human element even if it is the shape of his (Shrek)'s recognizable ogre head.
"That FOOTLOOSE logo makes me want to die"
that should be on a tee shirt.

meh, i think it's a step up from the first one
but not much of a step
I think it was going to be a step up but then it fell down the stairs
Yeah that new Shrek logo is pretty ugly. I think I'd rather have the first one.

what's the big deal I like that logo much better, it's more family appealing IMO
I quite like it. Sure, it's scrappy, but it's scrappy in a purposeful way and is the antithesis of things like... oh, the 'Miss Saigon' logo, which is carefully designed, classy, elegant, and matches the show. As I think it's safe enough to say that on the whole 'Shrek' is being aimed at audiences who would have things like 'Miss Saigon' aimed at them, the logo is just fine and dandy.
Although it doesn't shrink down well at all. Looks MUCH better big!

amen weez
I took the logo and recolored it to match the one in the youtube clip, and then enlarged it as best as I can.
I think it's a clever design with how they have Shrek and Donkey in the 'H' and the 'R'. I also think that it looks much better without the giant 'S' in the background.

AWFUL logo. Though the NY times ad was GREAT.
