Posted: 7/6/08 at 1:40pmI know there's already a thread about this, but my most wanted would be an adaptation of The Nightmare Before Christmas. I'd want to see it more from a technical point of view though, how they would work Jack's costume and the transition from Halloween to Christmas town.

Yeah, that's why I specified "one that satisfies my longing". I want a great big grand guignol hit! ..... blame Sondheim.

Oh my gosh, anythingtaboo! My first musical I ever wrote is set completely in a supermarket! Haha! It totally didn't work! But it was a nice original peice that could make it with some re-writes.... and a different setting.

Well Scott, you are getting your wish...sort of. The Kinky Boots musical is being talked about, but they are looking to Jerry Mitchell to direct.

I've always thought an Evita-esque parody of the life of Imelda Marcos or Leona Helmsley would be fantastic.
"Imelda" with a ballad to her shoes, or "Leona" with a funny patter song about all the things only "Little People" must do.
I've also always wanted someone to take a stab at "Something Wicked this Way Comes" as a serious musical.

"oh, or a musical set in an office. i imagined it beginning with a big opening number of the characters going to work on the underground/subway, and the main character being the new girl amongst all the suits. "
Sort of like Throughly Modern Millie without the subway :)
