Call me crazy, but this artwork still makes me think of SPIDER WOMAN. Not as much as the poster behind all the interviewees in the promo videos, but still.

Just got in from tonight's show. Harvey is giving a phenomenal performance. He and Jeffrey are both playing very different characters than what Douglas and Kelsey played. And honestly I love all four of them. Jeffrey is by no means a singer, but his acting is great and his character is great and he has some wonderful moments. Yes, Harvey's clothes have been changed and a line added to acknowledge them. Wilson Jermaine Heredia however is not faring so well. It was a good crowd tonight but every single time he had a joke, there was silence in the house. And his accent was not so good. I preferred Robin De Jesus in the role, and I know a lot of people didn't like him.
Some changes that I thought worked well: The moment during "With You On My Arm" where Albin gets up on the couch...I remembered it at the beginning of the song and was waiting to see what would happen. Priceless. And the other change: How they dealt with Jeffrey's wig.
Feel free to ask specific questions if you have them.

Having never seen Harvey perform live before, I went in wary of what his singing would be like. But honestly, I thought his songs, particularly "I Am What I Am," were great. I remember in an interview he said that "Best of Times" was the hardest one for him, but he handled it quite well, particularly the beginning part of it. He obviously isn't in the same league as Douglas Hodge is when it comes to singing, but he is able to overcome that with his acting.
And what league of singing exactly was Douglas Hodge in?

Well, he can carry a tune better and hit notes that Harvey just can't.
