I love it. The green makes the background look beautiful, and the eyes give the logo an appropiately creepy sense. It's wonderful. Can't wait to see the show when it hits Broadway this autumn.

Though I did love the original off-broadway poster of the Marble Faun I think this one is a lot of fun and puts Christine front and center where she belongs. Glad it now shows her eyes.
It looks awesome! I cannot wait to see it!
completely intriguing. so mysterious. wow! i didn't christine ebersole was getting so great of reviews.
They better go with that logo...the other one looked amateur and crappy.
This one is just gorgeous.
I like the other one, i felt the other one made an impression. I look at this one and go oh it is just the star doing a beautiful shot.
The poster from Playwrights Horizon looked like something created in photoshop. I love the new poster. It's a nice homage to the original documentary. And from a marketing standpoint a photograph of a person is usually a better sell as a logo.

I don't know, I asked that also. I'd love to see the older one. I wonder why they didn't go with either for the Cast Recording cover?
Here you go...the original Off-Broadway logo!
Has the rest of the cast been announced yet? Just curious because only John Christine and Mary appear to be locks. I might have missed the announcment and i was just curious as to who else is rounding out the cast.
Nope. Only Christine (Ebersole), Mary Louise (Wilson) and John (McMartin) have been confirmed and announced.

Yeah, i think the new one is more elegant and tasteful.
I think the original was elegant and tasteful. this one looks like a sweet charity logo. it doesn't really reflect the "mood" of the show nor does it make me want to jump out of my seat and buy tickets. the CD does, but not this logo.

well, i hope it makes others want to buy tickets
and for the person who asked about if the off-broadway cast is set to do it, yes, everyone is, except for Sara Gettelfinger
there's been a lot of stuff on that though...
yeah
Finally found a small version of the photos of Edith and Little Edie with the hand mirror that inspired the show's Broadway logo...
It's a great logo.
But it's a crap show, unless they've re-written it. That first act is terrible.
Second act is okay. But honestly. Who's going to buy tickets for this?
I wish it the best. And Ebersole is amazing. But that show has serious problems. At least, it did when I saw it.

as was stated in a thread a while back, supposedly revisions are happening, which is normal for a new work. additionally, it was said that the newly released 90 minutes of footage from the doc has provided much information to help fill in details.
and there is much interest in this show.
