This is a bit of a newer logo I found on the GREY GARDENS site, I hope it hasn't been discussed before But it's basically like the older one, except for it actually shows her eyes, and all, which sort of creeps me out anyhow, here it is.
I will most DEF. be getting a poster if that's the logo they'll be using!
"Picture "The View," with the wisecracking, sympathetic sweethearts of that ABC television show replaced by a panel of embittered, suffering or enraged Arab women" -the Times review of Black Eyed
"Chicago is it's own incredible theater town right there smack down in the middle of the heartland. What a great city! I can see why Oprah likes to live there!" - Dee Hoty :-D
The new logo is based on a famous photo of Little Edie. I can't find that photo online, but I believe it's in the extras on the Criterion DVD of the Grey Gardens film.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.
"We don't value the lily less for not being made of flint and built to last. Life's bounty is in it's flow, later is too late. Where is the song when it's been sung, the dance when it's been danced? It's only we humans who want to own the future too."
- Tom Stoppard, Shipwreck
I definitely love the eyes peeking out. It adds that touch of both mystique and eerieness. It's stunning. I would defintely buy a window card and have both divas sign that gorgeous logo.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
Is the Marquee up for Grey Gardens or is the Doubt one still there? IF so, can someone take/post some pictures. I'm curious to see how this would translate to a marquee. What's the old one look like? I wish they had used this for the CD cover instead of the awful thing they have now.
