Posted: 5/25/06 at 9:25amIt would be rediculous for Company to go to the Palace. It would be sending it off to its immediate death to open it there. They deserve a small, intimate theatre. Maybe the Barrymore, now that GG is taking the Kerr?

Seriously? Wow! I hope this is true. I miss big casts and big orchestras. Say what you will about Garth Drabinsky's ethics, his productions were gloriously big. Nothin' beats sixty people on stage singing "Ol' Man River." :)

Even the original Company, with a set and a full 28 piece orchestra, would have looked and sounded small in the Palace. A poster on All That Chat initiated the Company at the Palace rumor, but it seems far removed from fact. I'd look for Company to wind up at one of the 1,000 seat playhouses.
I believe the Barrymore is being held for The Vertical Hour.
