Not to nitpick but according to IBDB, two of those credits were a week each, one was a month. Carroll only had three credits total. I'm just not seeing how they're anywhere close to synonymous with Broadway.

I am FULLY pulling for the Chita Rivera.
The only one I have always wanted renamed is the Broadway. All it does is confuse every tourist.

Absolutely concur with renaming the Broadway. Changing it to the Harold Prince would fit as it was associated with him plenty: West Side Story, Fiorello, Fiddler, Baker Street, Cabaret, Candide, and most notably Evita all played there.

I absolutely loathe naming theaters after writers, actors or directors. They need to rename the Sondheim theater. Has there even been a Sondheim show in there? They should have renamed it after Todd Haimes and they should go back to the Selwyn on 42nd. If a theater is going to be named after a person, it should only be named after people who actually RAN the theater, paid for the theater or built the theater. Change the Beaumont to the Bishop, I’m all for that. One day the Golden will be called the Wankel, rightly so.
