Have they announced a new show for after Charlie closes?

I hear this DREAMGIRLS is quite good, but I would not want to be compared to Michael Bennett's production. Not now, not ever.

Well, it looks as if Ain't Too Proud isn't coming in as it's going to D.C. for a tryout. Therefore, that isn't going in. I truly hope this house doesn't sit empty this spring.

Looks like it might be the new Donna Summer musical.

Well, that's a surprise! It was so obvious the two shows would be competing for who could arrive first, especially since they have the same concept of three actresses playing each iconic star. And I thought Cher would beat Donna there when they announce dates for next fall. It's also interesting given the word from La Jolla is Summer needs a lot of work.

But judging from the pics it looks pretty bare bones. But Broadway doesn't have a lot of "fun" musicals right now, so maybe it will fill that void.

This show needs another out of town tryout. It desperately needs work. A shame they are rushing this in.

I was actually thinking it would be a shame if it wasn't ready and sunk its own chances and stole the thunder from THE CHER SHOW, too (assuming it's in good shape).

Having seen it, it isn't ready. Needs a ton of work for what could be a fun show. Plus the Lunt is too big for this show, which is relatively bare bones. A smaller house would work, where they could create demand. The material has potential, but I hate to see it wasted to beat a show with more hype.

having seen Donna, am really surprised they are launching this in april 2018...the book is very weak, and the show is well, just not that good overall. I would see the Cher musical over this sight unseen on the Cher side, just for the music and Cher's story. it will be very interesting to see how Donna does...
as always i wish them well!

seems like this season will have more than it's share of flops(Donna Summer, Margaritaville, Spongebob, M Butterfly, Home For The Holidays).
