That should be excellent!
I'm not a huge MadTV fan, but Nicole Parker is a great performer. :)

I'm sorry, I know she's the only funny thing on MadTV, but does she really have the dramatic/vocal chops for Elphaba?

PiraguaGuy2: She definitely did in Fame Becomes Me.
EponineAmneris: exactly what I was going to say- think ana gasteyer. She certainly should nail the comedic elements of the role.

The thing I loved about Ana was how she made the part humorous (when it was appropriate, of course). I'm excited for Nicole. Hopefully she will do the same.

My favorite skit of her on MadTV was when she played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz alternate ending, she's amazing!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6exm2Hi28Xw
Here's a clip of her doing an Ebay commercial parody as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sItKyNKOYXs

Stuntcasting for Wicked? HELL NO!! They have had celebs in the show before, but didn't make a big deal about it.

Stunt casting? Stop a hundred people on the street- how many would recognize her? One? None?

I don't think this counts as stunt casting at all, but I think she'll be very good.

She most certainly isn't stunt-casting. As JoeKv99 said, at least 90% of the people on the street would have no idea who she was. I can't even imagine there is ANYONE who says, "Let's go see Wicked because Nicole Parker is in it."

Would this be considered a slap in the face to Carmen Cusack?
