jordangirl, since I know you're a Next to Normal fan -- did you happen to go see Aaron after the show or by any chance talk about how much longer he's with Wicked?
I did changingandhow. I actually talked with him Wednesday night and he said "three weeks". I didn't get a specific date, but I'd say within the next couple of weeks if you want to see him.

LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!
I have tickets for March 11th which is right smack dab in the middle of the two possible dates people have been throwing around for Aaron's departure. I'd really like to get rid of them if he's leaving the 8th but I don't know whether to take "3 weeks" as 3 MORE weeks or including this past week if it was said on Wednesday... thanks though, jordangirl!
Last week I was told that Jayne was leaving in 3 weeks also. Tonight I asked her and she told me the correct date so Aaron's could be the same! He wasn't on today or I would have asked him!
Don't believe everything that you hear! Only the peeps involved know the truth!
Any idea who is coming in after Rondi? Looks like I'll be seeing one of there first shows.

She was my first Elphaba this past week and I actually liked her a lot. Parker made the role a very endearing one and I thought acted the crap out of it. Her singing wasn't what I would have expected, but also not at all bad. The only thing about the production I absolutely detested actually had nothing to do with her. It's the only show I've seen where it is SOOOOO obvious that all of the noise is coming from the speakers, as opposed to from the actor's themselves (as in redirected from body-mics). There were times when the sound was just too low and poorly mixed, times when certain chorus members were turned louder than the leads, and at all times it sounded like each character was directly to the right of the stage, coming from a single speaker. Yes, I know there are multiple speakers and just as many reasons to do this for such a show, but it was honestly distracting. It was like I was watching the parts of Avenue Q when an Ensemble member holds one of the puppets and the actor or actress voicing them is all the way across the stage playing someone else. Just not done well at all. On the plus side, since I had never seen Wicked before I was pleasantly surprised all around and really enjoyed the show. Some parts even surprised me, like (God I'm going to sound so stupid here) the fact that (do I need to say SPOILERS be here??) Elphaba actually survives. I don't know how I didn't know this already. I guess I just don't really populate any Wicked threads until this one. But when she was killed and Galinda was sad, it actually moved me somewhat as I liked the character and loved the relationship between the two. Then when Fiyero/Scarecrow went to the hat I just assumed he was going to mourn her, but I grinned so wide when I realized she was still alive. Embarrassing but true.
^^^ Be happy you didn't know. I made the mistake of watching a video on that site which ruined the surprise for me right before I saw it for the first time!

Are the Cast Directors f*cking retarded? They have a perfectly capable understudy to takeover who doesn't make it look like Elphaba is about to be raped. His name is Kyle Dean Massey.
Kern won't be around long, considering 9 to 5 should be starting its Broadway rehearsals VERY soon, if they haven't already.
I'd love to see Will Chase take on the role. Or even somebody who's against "type" - I wonder what Chris Jackson's take on it would be if he ever leaves HEIGHTS.
