Why not? Hamilton has been getting a lot of mileage out of this concept and the numbers BoM put up for the 15th anniversary celebration were very impressive. The actors they're replacing will have been in the show exactly a year so it doesn't look like anyone is getting ousted early.

Both Donna McKechnie and Kelly Bishop returned to A CHORUS LINE years after ending their original run in the show. Bishop returned twice years later for short runs and McKechnie did an 8 month run in 1986.

That's fun, though I don't really see them moving the needle in a major way.
I know many of us have been predicting this show's demise for a while, but it would be fitting for the show to close with them in it on January 17. But this is a show that will probably want to give 4-6 months' notice, and I bet ATG will need/want to do some interior renovations before the next show comes in.

Could Nikki bring Shaina Taub's Twelfth Night musical to Broadway instead? I've kind of fallen in love with the cast recording over the last couple months.
