Without interviewing EVERY SINGLE ONE of the nominators we won't know WHY. But basically, he didn't get enough votes.

And maybe yes. We can see that Michelle Williams, Daniel Radcliff, Denzel Washington has been snubbed. They probably snubbed every movie actors

As Liza and others have helpfully tried to point out in the past, there is a finite number of space on the internet and Broadway world is trying to be "green" about it, if you will. Please don't use up precious natural resources like message board threads.

I feel bad about the lack of Quinto nod too.

I thought his performance in Menagerie was so good I have no problem with his lack of nomination getting its own thread. Granted, it's wasteful of Internet space, but so be it.

His performance was so good, they were SCARED to nominate it!


Also, the part has it's problems in terms of award categorization. It's too small for a meaty leading man part, but too large to be delegated to supporting.

And it's the part that gets the nomination/award, rarely the performer.

Short answer: the competition.

The season not only included the five nominated performances but acclaimed work by Washington, McKellan, Stewart, Hall and Letts as well as Quinto. It wasn't as if Quinto, or anyone else, was singled out for derision.
