I am sorry to hear that B Girl. Norbert is quite angry about this so just as frustrated and disappointed as you are, so is he. I hope you can go again. If you are in the NYC area, try the lotto some time.

Broadwayluva, the 15th actually IS the day John's leaving, not the day before. If you have tickets for the night performance, then you will be viewing his last performance

Now, does anyone have any info on how Joe Cassidy is doing, recovering from his injury?

I saw the show last night (won lottery) - and I would like to say that I enjoyed Jason (I think that was his name) much more than I enjoyed Joe Cassidy - he was VERY relaxed, VERY funny and the audience just ate him up.

I have tickets to see the show on the 15th - hoping Norbert will be there, of course, but if he needs some vocal rest, then so be it!

Norbert will be out until further notice, and Joe will return to ensemble duties tomorrow night.

Guess apparently quite a few of us will be seeing Jason Sunday.

What's a "node?" Perhaps you mean nodules? If that's the case then he has serious problems and it isn't just a few performances. If it's any consolation, that is highly unlikely and would think that any performer would be getting checked regularly once beginning to have problems...

Found that thread and its said he 'may' be developing nodes, not 'has' them. I have seen no evidence whatsoever he was having vocal problems but this rest may be a precaution to prevent such a thing. If so, by all means, let the man rest.

wickedrentq, sorry about the misunderstanding, but i'm seeing the show on the 14th. It's actually the first of 4 shows that weekend. Does anyone know if Joe Cassidy will Ever go back to the role withing the next month, i was just curious because I saw him in November and really enjoyed his performance.

I hope Joe gets to go back on as Freddy, I too love him in the role, but as of now all I know is that he's returning to ensemble duties.
