He IS very nice PB--I was dizzy....
"maybe i am the only person who thinks that norm is overrated."
Possibly. I guess you didn't see him bring down the house in Two Gentlemen of Verona. Sheer bliss...

and you must not have seen him tear it up in "Dreamgirls" as Curtis.
Norm is also, IMO, the nicest person to meet at a stage door.
I admit that the only thing I have seen him in was Les Mis and I wasn't impressed, maybe I should give him a break.
(Norm, here's your chance to blush and keep going to the gym!)

I don't know, whoever plays Triton, I hope they rework his song. The music and lyrics don't really work together, at least not on the demo.
COMPLETELY off topic....
I just read a newsthingy, and it mentioned 110 in the Shade (which I sang a song from) and I knew the character's name was Lizzie, HOWEVER, I didn't realize it was Lizzie Curry.
So now your name makes sense Lizzie....the end.
I'm a bad musical theatre major.

Mr. Matt...go see your therapist...PAHLEASE!!!!! Give us all a break...and you might want to take a course in interracial marriages and biracial children...and maybe a course in Chemistry and Bio if you think that's necessary...I haven't taken any courses in Genetics, otherwise, I'd recommend those, too...

But then, of course, you might not understand what you're being taught since you're TOTALLY STUPID!!!!!
I'm not so sure about what I feel about Norm Lewis as Triton. Maybe once I see him with his wheelies, crown, flowing white hair and trident...maybe I'll be proven otherwise.
Oh, TT...so sad.

TT isn't sad, he's just outraged, maybe a bit overzealous, but Im equally as stunned by the impressive amount of ignorance and intolerance shown by some people in this thread.
Oh, the (debased) humanity.

This brings up another good point. What color hair will be flowing from the sea king's beleagured brow? (BTW, this is intended to be a serious costuming question)

Fenchurch...I totally appreciate the fact that you are supporting my point of view...but I'm really a girl...really...I'm not a he...but a she...REALLY...I'm not even a transvestite...and I'm definitely NOT a transexual...I have the XX factor...not the XY...I have all the essential female organs...please refer to me as a she...Thank you....

Well, TT is a generic name. And again, I have to point out Chemistry has NOTHING to do with skin color or anything...unless you have figured out how to make humans out of two different chemical elements.

just so u all know the part was written to be played by a black man.
i know this because i have a friend who went in for the part and he is a very accomplished african-american actor.
can we all please stop arguing about this now?
it's really stupid.
they're singing fish people.
get a grip.
TT, sorry, but any gender clues may be obscured by all those ellipses.

Wait, now I want to know how you can write a minor to supporting role in a Disney musical about singing half-fish who want to become whole naked people specifically for a black man. Those roles are barely playable by people who began life as a pencil tip.
Dear Norm,
Do you mind if you stay in Les Miz until the last week of July so I can fly out and see it because that is my favorite show and Javert is my favorite role? Thanks that would be so sweet. See you in July!!

In a Disney fairy tale world where beasts can mate with maidens, boys can be raised by apes, and man can mate with fish, I think race is irrelevant. What's really going to be distracting is all the freakin' rollerskating, not the fact that Norm Lewis is black.

And Lizzie Curry...explain?

No TT, you didn't. Genetics is part of Biology, not Chemistry. I can assure of that much.

Hold on here, Biology, Chemistry, Genetics??? Are we implying that BWW word users have actually intelligence???
