'Rory O'Malley is going on 33. He is in his mid-30s.'

I somehow missed this earlier, but yeah...33 is not mid-30's. Those of us in our late 30's know this all too well. And I was giving a really low-ball estimate. I imagine someone who's gone through the doctoral process and become the nation's renowned Proust scholar would have to be in his early 40's...at least. Plus, O'Malley is youthful. Puck-ish, if you will.

None of this means it won't work. I'm sure he'll be wonderful, cause he's a terrific performer. It's just surprising.

Just got tickets to this for the first week of performances - I can't wait to see this cast, and interested to see how the show looks now after all the changes from La Jolla.

Has there been any indication of when tickets will go on sale for non-subscribers?

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

There is Audience Rewards presale going on right now, which is how I got my tickets. I asked 2ST on facebook before the presale was announced, and they said in the next 2-3 weeks.

"I've read they've scrapped basically everything from the prior incarnation at La Jolla, including the entire score save for 3 songs." Thank gawd. The show tried to put you to sleep with the opening number (please oh please tell me that was scrapped--and then burned)...and then you spent the next 2 1/2hrs wishing you were asleep.

Does Second Stage always provide a "30/35 Under 30" discount or is it only for select shows? Considering making a trip to NYC in the fall and trying to figure out if I should wait to see if a discount is offered or get tickets right now through Audience Rewards.

I got an email from 2ST that referred to $30 under 30 tickets for this, but there weren't any specific details. I think they do them for most or all of their shows, but it varies by show what performances they're available for (Nobody Loves You is all performances, Last Five Years was Wednesday matinees and the final extension week, etc.)
