I had seen the show in previews, back in April, and loved it. I wanted to see it again before it closes next month, and I'm glad I did. The show was tighter and even funnier than I remembered. James Corden was his usual brilliant self, and he ad-libbed like crazy during the sandwich bit. The audience was in convulsions. That Tony was well-earned. Oliver Chris's performance as the upper-class twit was inspired, and of course Tom Edden, as the addled waiter, Alfie, is not to be missed. The music adds a real sense of fun to the production, and the scene-change interludes are hilarious. If anyone is on the fence about seeing this, better get a move on, because there are only four weeks left! If you like physical comedy (think Monty Python, Benny Hill, Mr. Bean), this is the show for you. I don't think Broadway will see the likes of this for a long time.

I've been toying with the idea fo seeing this again -- but I worried the opposite would happen. Hmmmm....will have to see.
I am taking my girlfriend to New York in two weeks and this is at the top of our To Watch List.

Ach, I need to see this...
Hmmm...maybe this will be my back up if (when) I don't win the Virtual Lottery for Into the Woods next Weds night.
It's this or Once or Clybourne Park. Although I'd like to see something I haven't yet -- there isn't all that much appealing to me that's already playing. (I haven't seen Clybourne, but only want to "sort of".)

Clybourne is a pretty heavy think piece, the kind of show I need to be in the mood for to enjoy (fortunately I was when I saw it a couple months ago). Even the humor is mostly cerebral. Pretty much the polar opposite of One Man. But I feel the same way about seeing One Man a second time...especially after reading that some of the ad libs...well, you know.

UGH! I wish I had rushed this show instead of the show I actually went to see. Put that in the "lessons learned" file.
Grummpy -- I knew about the adlibs when I first saw it -- I was just able to be in awe of Cordon's talent throughout it.

I agree with you---After I saw this show, I kept running the lines, etc., thro' my head and w/i a week---bought tix to see it again! I wish it wouldn't close in Sept.
I've been listening to the album non-stop. The original songs are really fantastic.
